Leonard thanks voters
I would like to thank the voters of the Cooperstown School District for their show of support in Tuesday’s school board election. I am looking forward to serving the community as a member of the board, and I will work conscientiously to balance the needs of our students and residents.

Brookwood festival a success
Thanks to the generosity of individuals, businesses, and organizations who donated four-wheelers, trucks, and equipment plus the hard work of friends, parents, and staff, The Brookwood School’s annual "Big Rigs" Festival held May 6th at Greener World Landscaping was a great success!
Children and their parents spent the afternoon admiring and exploring a wide array of trucks and equipment compliments of the following generous donors: Austin’s Rigging; Bennett Motor Sales; Central New York Radio Group; Cooperstown Fire Department; E. L. Kukenberger Sand & Gravel; Fly Creek Fire Department; Fly Creek United Methodist Church; Eastman Associates; Jerry Goodspeed; H. J. Berry & Daughters; New York State Department of Transportation; Otsego County Sheriff; Otsego Ready Mix; Perfect Party; Seward Sand and Gravel; Smith Ford, Inc.; Russ Smith; Tallman Enterprises Tree Trimming; Taylor & Sons, Inc.; The Clark Foundation; Town of Otsego; Scott Ubner; Wightman’s Specialty Woods; and Williams Excavating. Special thanks to Joe and Doreen Potrikus for donating trucks, equipment, and their field at Greener World Landscaping in Fly Creek, where the event was held.
