Community Walkers
The Walking Example Group is pleased to have the participation of a dedicated walking group who meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Clark Sports Center. The walkers move to a mixture of upbeat music and chart their daily miles under the direction of fitness instructor Nancy Mitchell.
The Clark Sports Center indoor track is open to all walkers Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., free of charge.
They include Bob and Donna Adams; Annagrete Barnum; Edward Bello; Marge Benton; Beverly Blessin; Mona Buckley; Carol Butts; Laura Carter; Jean and Tony Corso; Susie Dean; Dawn Dietz; Janet Gorman; Janet Gray; Les Gray; Karen Kappel; Bernice Key; Charlotte Kniskern; Clara Lepicier; Rena Lull; Elaine More; Helen Mulligan; Bill Murray; Carolyn Murray; Don Osborn; Doris Polley; Ernie Polley; Jane Prior; Helen Roberts; Mae Robertson; Dave St. John; Alice Stiles; Alice Talbot; Helen Tirrell; Douglas Wayman; Frances Wayman; and Mel Zimmerman .
Top walkers who exceeded ten miles last week were:
Laura Carter, 15 miles; Susie Dean, 10.5 miles; Carolyn Murray, 10 miles; Don Osborn, 17 miles; Doris and Ernie Polley, 12 miles each; Helen Roberts, 12 miles; Dave St. John, 25 miles (WOW); Mel Zimmerman, 15 miles.
Close behind were Jean and Tony Corso with nine miles each and Carol Butts, Rena Lull, Mae Robertson and Douglas Wayman with eight miles each.
These are the step numbers for this week's top walkers in the Walking Example Group's virtual walk to Windsor, Nova Scotia. There are currently 72 members of the community participating.
