Earth Festival seeking
supporters, participants
HARTWICK - Earth
Festival organizers announced
recently that letters
seeking supporters and participants
have been mailed
to area businesses, schools,
organizations, and individuals.
Financial contributions
are welcome, and an open invitation
to earth-friendly exhibitors,
food and retail vendors,
and workshop
presenters is being extended.
Earth Festival 2008 will
begin with a seminar series,
"Operating in the Green: A
Practical Approach," on Friday,
April 18. The series will
feature a choice of seminars
plus a trade show exhibit
and luncheon, and is for local
businesses, municipalities,
and schools. The seminars
focus on practical advice
about steps that can be taken
to reduce environmental impact,
organizers said.
It is a prelude to the traditional
Earth Festival activities,
which will be held the
following day .
Now in its third year,
Earth Festival is an environmentally-
focused, interactive
event featuring exhibits,
workshops, vendors and entertainment,
all with a fun,
earth-friendly twist.
