Fireworks set for Saturday

The Cooperstown Fire Department will present its annual fireworks display Saturday at dusk.
The Cooperstown Rotary Club will have concession stands set up at Lake Front Park from 6 to 9 p.m. selling hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, soda and glow-in-thedark necklaces for children.
The Cooperstown Rotary will donate 100 percent of the proceeds raised by this event to local charities, with 10 percent going to the Cooperstown Fire Department.
"This annual fireworks display in Cooperstown provides family fun with an Old-Fashion American Celebration’ of music by the Cooperstown Community Band," said David Bliss, a Cooperstown Rotarian and one of the organizers of the event.
Cooperstown Mayor Carol Waller said, "I hope to see a lot of people join us for this event and wish everyone a wonderful and safe Happy Fourth of July."
The rain date for the event will be Saturday, July 7.
