Staff Report
Tickets for the 58th annual Hall of Fame Game, scheduled to be played between the Atlanta Braves and the Minnesota Twins on Monday, June 14 at 2 p.m., will be available beginning February 14, in a variety of ways for fans across the country.
The historic annual event, featuring a pair of Major League Baseball teams in an exhibition game, will take place at Doubleday Field on Flag Day, the second consecutive year that the event will be separated from Hall of Fame Weekend.
This year's game features a rematch of the 1991 World Series teams, and will cap an entire weekend of events as part of Hall of Fame Game Weekend.
Included are activities with Hall of Fame members at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, and the return of the second annual Cooperstown Game Day Parade, presented by the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce and the village of Cooperstown, in conjunction with the Hall of Fame.
Game tickets are limited to six per customer. Prices are $11 for first and third base reserved seats, while outfield reserved seats are $10. All tickets this year will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets can be purchased at the Hall of Fame, over the Internet and by telephone.
At the Museum: Tickets will first be available through an over-the-counter ticket sale at the Museum, beginning Saturday, February 14 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
All visitors purchasing tickets to the Hall of Fame Game during the first-day sale will be admitted FREE to the Museum on February 14.
Hall of Fame Game tickets will continue to be available at the Museum during the following week, from February 15-22, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the Museum shop.

Youth Baseball Week:The on-site ticket sale coincides with the Youth Baseball Week at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Feb. 14-22.
Youth Baseball Week pays tribute to Black History Month in 2004, with a week-long schedule of events. Coinciding with the opening day of Hall of Fame Game ticket sales on Feb. 14, the Hall of Fame will host a special Legends Series event featuring former major league stars Jim "Mudcat" Grant and Al Oliver at 1 p.m. The two former big league stars will discuss their own careers, along with the efforts of others to promote the involvement of African Americans in baseball. Additionally, Oliver will sign copies of his newest book, Baseball's Best Kept Secret.
Throughout Youth Baseball Week, kids 12 and under wearing the baseball cap of their favorite team will be admitted free to the Museum, when accompanied by an adult. Other activities planned during Youth Baseball Week include Rookie Workshops, Sandlot Stories and special edition film series presentations.
Other activities for Hall of Fame Game Weekend will be announced in the coming weeks. Tentative events planned for Monday, June 14 include: 10:30-11:30 a.m.: A Legends Roundtable with Hall of Famers (to be determined), weather permitting, will be free of charge for all Hall of Fame Game ticket holders. 1 p.m.: Home Run Derby at Doubleday Field featuring three members of the Braves and three members of the Twins. 1:45 p.m. Ceremonial first pitches. Post-game: All fans 12 years of age or younger can run the bases at legendary Doubleday Field and shake hands with Hall of Famers.
The 2004 Hall of Fame Game will mark the fourth appearance for the visiting Braves and the fifth appearance for the home team Twins. Atlanta is 1-2 in previous Hall of Fame Game appearances, last appearing in 1987, losing 3-0 to the New York Yankees. The Braves also lost in 1984 and defeated the White Sox in 1974. The Twins will be making their first appearance since 1991, the year of the club's last appearance in the World Series. Minnesota is 3-1, winning three straight, in 1969, 1977 and 1991. The Twins dropped their lone Hall of Fame Game in their debut in 1966, to future Hall of Fame lefty Steve Carlton and the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-5.
